PDF Pattern - Victorian Edwardian Corset Cover - Fixed Size
1890-1910 Ladies' one piece corset cover digital pattern, taken from an antique pattern sheet by Butterick.
Fixed size: for a 36" (91 cm) bust.
This listing is for a digital pattern, digitized by myself, to print at home on A4 size paper. Brief period instructions included, though no throughout step-by-step instructions are included with the pattern (no sewing illustrations, no finishing techniques). Basic to intermediate sewing skills are required.
This digital pattern is taken from an antique sewing paper pattern from my personal collection, published by Butterick around 1910. Despite the original pattern envelope being published during late Edwardian era, it was patented in 1898 and thus its design corresponds to late 19th century fashions as well.
The corset cover can have a round or a square neckline. It is easy to transform it into square shape by following dotted lines on the e-pattern.
Based on information on the antique pattern envelope, seam allowances are already included.
After downloading you will receive 1 PDF file which contains scans of the original pattern envelope with brief instructions, information on required yardage, pattern layout and digitized pattern pieces with notches on them. The pattern uses 9 pages of paper. Please note that page 7 is blank - you can skip it in order to reduce paper use!
You will need Adobe Reader software to be able to open the file. Normally Adobe Reader is already installed on your laptop or computer.
You will need to print this pattern to 100% scale in "Actual size", then cut and tape the pattern pieces together.
