PDF Pattern - "A La Sirene" 1910s Titanic Era Corset
PDF Pattern - "A La Sirene" 1910s Titanic Era Corset
This is a listing for a fixed size (ungraded) "A la Sirene" 1910s mid-bust corset pattern in A4 format. The pattern was copied from an extant antique 1910s corset from my personal collection, you can see it in the second photo. This corset is of conical shape and a lot of hip coverage, which gives a wearer a fashionable columnar silhouette of the era.
Fully closed measurements of the pattern are:
Bust - 33" (84 cm)
Waist - 22" (55 cm)
Hips - 33" (84 cm)
In the first photo, on the left and right, you can see me modelling a mock-up made using this pattern - no adjustments were done.
The pattern comes in PDF format and is ready to be printed onto A4 paper. Pattern panels have to be cut out and taped together.
All pattern sheets were tested for correct printing before being put for sale, but please don't hesitate to contact me if you are having any issues. I'm always happy to help!
You will get two PDF files and three RAR folders: one PDF file with instructions on printing, construction, materials and their quantity and one with the pattern panels + three RAR folder with reference pictures of the antique corset and my recreation (taken while sewing, in progress, which shows the construction method).
RAR folders require special software that may not be pre-installed on your computer or laptop: most common software is WinRAR Archiver.
Please note that none of the files contain detailed step-by-step instructions on sewing. This pattern will work for people who are familiar with basic corset sewing techniques.
Thank you and Happy sewing!
